Continuing Education
Are you behind in your Continuing Education Hours?
First Five offers onsite “Hands on” Con Ed every Tuesday and Thursday from 9am-6pm. Hours are approved by Region XI EMS Consortium and IDPH. Currently we have two levels of training, Con Ed Basics for EMT-B’s only and Con Ed Clinics for EMT-B’s and Paramedic’s. All classes are 4 hours in duration unless otherwise specified.
Every month we offer 8 hours of Con Ed for EMT-B’s and 4 hours of Con Ed for Paramedic’s. As a new month starts so does a new EMS Con Ed (another 8 hours). The number of seats per class is limited to 25 seats (you must schedule for classes online a minimum of 24 hours prior to attend).
EMT-B’s can attend 1 Con Ed Basic class and 1 Con Ed Clinic a month. Paramedic’s can only attend 1 Con Ed Clinic a month.

Con Ed Basics are designed for EMT-B’s, (sorry NO paramedics). Classes are held a couple of times a month on different subjects. Usually 2 to 4 hours of Con Ed per class. Con Ed Basics can be purchased for $50.00 per 4 hours. Price may vary depending on class subject and hours of CE.

Con Ed Clinics are designed for Paramedics but EMT-B’s are welcome. Classes are held a couple of times a month on different subjects. Usually 2 to 4 hours of Con Ed per class. Con Ed Clinics can be purchased for $50.00 per 4 Hours. Price may vary depending on class subject and hours of CE.
