First Five is Chicagoland’s premier emergency medical training center. Our students are taught by professional intructors that have been in the emergency medical field for years. “Professionals Training Professionals” is our motto and business platform. We beleive that by having instructors that have been there and done that, we can provide superior training. CPR Classes can be taught AT YOUR LOCATION on the northwest side of Chicago and surrounding suburbs or at our state-of-the art facility.
We require a $25 down payment to reserve a seat for CPR classes. (Due seven(7) days prior to class and is non-refundable.) Please e-mail us at cpr@firstfiveems.com to request a class or find our next one.
EMT-B class is about 4 months. The evening class meets twice a week on Tuesday & Thursday from 6pm-10:00pm (about 32 classes). The Saturday class meets 1 day a week from 9am-6pm. (about 16 Classes)
If you cannot make it to the Tuesday/Thursday class, you may go that Saturday to makeup hours. Both classes (Tuesday/Thursday or Saturday) cover the same material. IDPH requires you to attend a certain amount of hours to qualify for State/National Exam, attendance is mandatory.
Mandatory prerequisites must be completed prior to or on the first day of class are as follows:
- Complete Student Application
- Must be 18 years or older(17 with parental approval)
- High School diploma/GED
- Must be able to understand/read/write the English Language
- Meet all the Technology Requirements
- FULL payment of $2,100 is due 30 days prior to the start of class.
Classes are limited to 25 people per class. A $100 non-refundable application fee is due at the time of application. Full payment of $2100 is due 30 days before the first day of class.
You will only need a few things that we don’t provide. Please contact us for a exact list for your particular class.
First Five has a uniform policy. We provide you with a Polo shirt to be worn to every class and to clinical sessions. You will be asked to purchase EMS pants. We will provide you with a link for them.
Once you enroll in our EMT Class you will be given online access to additional online materials, practrice aids, as well as quizzes to complete online. This allows the student to study/learn at there own pace. Plus, because of COVID we are performing a blended class. You will attend a Zoom session once a week.
