Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) Academy
First Five provides Emergency Medical Technician classes on the northwest side of Chicago. Our classes exceed the National Registry Emergency Medical Technicians (NREMT) Standards and is approved by the Illinois Department of Public Health (IDPH). Because of the COVID-19 Pandemic, our class structure has changed a bit. We are one of the only programs that has been approved by IDPH to teach class in a blended format. As you can see from our schedule, we meet virtually for the classroom portion and then only need to meet one day a week for the hands on portion. Individuals that complete this course and all mandatory requirements will have the opportunity to challenge the NREMT Exam for EMT-B licensing.

All classes are about four months in duration and are held at our facility as well as online. Attendance is mandatory per Illinois Department of Public Health.
Tuition includes:
- Electronic textbook
- Polo shirt
- Lab supplies
- Online access to study material
Mandatory prerequisites must be completed prior to or on the first day of class are as follows:
- Complete Student Application
- Must be 18 years or older(17 with parental approval)
- High School diploma/GED
- Must be able to understand/read/write the English Language
- Meet all the Technology Requirements
- FULL payment of $2,100 is due 30 days prior to the start of class.
